AboutI'm postdoc in the astronomy department at University of Michigan. I work with Emily Rauscher's group, exploring ways to use high-resolution spectroscopy to probe the 3D structure of hot Jupiter atmospheres.
I earned my Ph.D. in 2025 from UCLA, advised by Mike Fitzgerald. My thesis work was on observational studies of hot Jupiter atmospheres and the development of new high-resolution fiber-fed infrared spectrographs as a member of the KPIC team. You can find a list of all publications I've contributed to here. I was a proud member of UAW local 2865/4811 in my time at UCLA, serving as a department steward for astronomy from 2023-2025. I received my bachelor's degree from Caltech in 2019, after which I spent a post-bacc year working on high-resolution cross-correlation spectroscopy of hot Jupiters and medium-resolution spectroscopy of hot, dust-obscured galaxies (Hot DOGs). I also led the initial port of the CAFE SED fitting tool from IDL to python. |
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, baking, science fiction, and playing with my dog (photos below).
